Network design & device selection is the most critical part of the whole process.
It’s my job to understand your usage & budget, help you understand the differences in technologies so you know what tier of devices is appropriate for you.
Taking careful note of the your intended usage of the network will determine the throughput requirements & subsequently influence the device selection.
For example: If a client’s use-case includes connecting to a Local NAS (Network Attached Storage) to transfer large files over Wi-Fi using their shiny new Wi-Fi 7 enabled laptop then it would be beneficial to utilise 2.5GbE PoE switching coupled with Wi-Fi 7 enabled access points. Upstream switches capable of multi-port link-aggregation, 2.5 / 5 or 10 GbE port availability may also be beneficial depending on the exact use-case.
Typically, most people won’t need that type of a setup, the latest & greatest tech also has the fanciest price tags. There is a device suitable for every use-case & budget.

We use a minimum specification of Cat6A UTP for ethernet runs. Shielded & outdoor variations are used when/where necessary.
